Police reports cost at least $5.00 each. Submit a GRAMA request through the Sheriff's online form. For criminal background checks, the Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification at (801) 965-4445 is the statewide source. A personal criminal record costs $20.00. Per Utah Code Ann. Section 53-10-108(1), full criminal history is only available to authorized entities.
The Utah Sex and Kidnap Offender Registry is searchable by name, area, city, or compliance status. The registry is free to use. Washington City residents can search it to check for registered offenders in their area.
Vital Records for Washington
Marriage licenses are issued by the Washington County Clerk/Auditor at 197 East Tabernacle Street, St. George. Phone: (435) 634-5700. The fee is $50.00. Both parties must appear with valid ID. The license is valid for 30 days. Certified copies of marriage certificates cost $9.00, with $5.00 for each additional copy. Marriage records are confidential for 75 years after the date of issue.
Birth and death certificates come from the Utah Office of Vital Records at (801) 538-6105. Birth certificates cost $22.00 first copy. Death certificates are $30.00. Washington Tax White Pages
The Washington County Treasurer collects property taxes for Washington City through the BillTrax online platform. You can view bills, pay online, track payment history, and set up paperless billing. The system is available around the clock. Taxes are based on property value as of January 1 each year. The annual due date is May 15.
Property tax relief is available through the Auditor's office. The deadline to apply is September 1 each year. Programs include the Circuit Breaker for elderly and disabled residents, veterans' exemptions, and other relief options. The Treasurer also handles delinquent tax accounts and may start tax sale proceedings for severely delinquent properties.
